Celebrating 50 Years of Chess Excellence

The Chennai District Chess Association (CDCA) proudly celebrates 50 years of dedicated service to the game of chess, marking a Golden Jubilee that reflects five decades of structured development, competitive integrity, and administrative excellence.

Established in a city globally recognized as the cradle of Indian chess, CDCA has been instrumental in nurturing generations of players, arbiters, coaches, and organizers who have contributed to the growth of chess at district, state, national, and international levels.

Over the past five decades, CDCA has consistently organized and governed officially recognized tournaments, championship events, scholastic competitions, and qualifying pathways, ensuring that chess in Chennai is conducted under transparent, fair, and internationally aligned standards.

The Association functions as an affiliated district body under the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association (TNSCA), thereby ensuring that all CDCA-approved activities are fully compliant with state regulations.
